Hypnosis is a natural process where you remain fully conscious and in control. It’s no more possible to get “stuck” in hypnosis than it is to get stuck in a daydream.
In fact, most people enter self-hypnotic states every day without realizing it—while driving, reading, watching TV, or even when working on the computer. These states of focus, similar to daydreaming, are perfectly natural and common. During hypnosis, you’ll be aware of sounds around you, but they won’t distract you, just as background noises often fade into the periphery in everyday situations. Every hypnosis experience is unique to each individual.
